I LOVE AUTUMN!

I love Autumn! I'm excited to wake up to a cool autumn day about to unfold. The crisp breeze makes me smile all over, kinda like a dog that's so happy to see his master that he just shakes from his shoulders all the way to his tail! Know what I mean? It's just the glorious beauty in the ever-changing patterns of the leaves, the hint of wood smoke from a campfire, the sounds of football fever at a tailgate party. All these things conspire to make me smile, laugh, and long for autumn to never end.

I sit at my desk in my cubbyhole office, wishing to be outside, walking on a forest path in the Rockies, smelling that smoke from the campfire we just extinguished before our hike. . . I love Autumn! Even summer in the Rockies is like autumn in Kansas, cool breezes blowing, God's glory in His creation showing off - like the leaves that change color in the cool temps at night, the Rockies are ever-changing, always inspiring and always make me smile. I'm happy it's autumn, it's finally fall! God is so great!!
